Somewhere over the Winter Holiday of 2001, I got the urge to make significant improvements to the quality of the artwork in the strip. Some of this was probably due to a set of new pens I got. Of course, the way life works, no sooner had I started in this new, more thoughtful direction then I broke my drawing hand, and had to have surgery followed by rehab. Story-wise, I feel this arc is pretty strong, and leads pretty cleanly into the next. It also features the only color strip ever published by the Daily Campus, and multiple Russian translations provided by one of my professors, Dr. Rhonda Blair. This batch of strips was originally published from November 2001 through February 2002.
