Day 50: General Zod. Played by Terence Stamp in Superman: The Movie and Superman II, Zod was a Kryptonian terrorist who escaped to Earth with his henchmen, Non and Ursa. As far as villains go, he generally allowed his subordinates to do his dirty work while he takes credit for it, though he does periodically get his hands dirty. Most of what I love about Zod is how menacing he appears while standing very still, and how quotable he is; “Kneel before Zod!” being something that I shout to strangers on the street more than I should. Also, being from Houston originally, I have to chuckle every time he talks about “Planet Hoo-ston.”
